Victoria Baumgartner is a Swiss-Ukrainian writer, director and actress. She has an MA in Shakespearean studies from the University of Lausanne, a diploma of dramaturgy from the Manufacture (Western Switzerland’s Acting School) and Acting Shakespeare training from LAMDA. Her short play On the Dawn of the Fourth Day won the « Six short plays looking for writers » contest in 2016. For the Swiss-French version of her first full-lenght play, Will or Eight Lost Years of Young William Shakespeare’s Life, she received the Swiss National Writer’s Guild SSA / KTV-ATP 2017 bursary award for dramatic writing. She was also nominated by the Offies – Off West End Awards as Best Director for the British version of Will, which is now touring Europe. Victoria has been invited by the Theater Tri-Bühne in Stuttgart, Germany, to stage her next play, Verona, there in Winter 2019. She enjoys practicing feng shui, waking up late, doing yoga and wine-tasting in her spare time.
